Theory Of A Deadman are getting ready to cross the boarder from their hometown Vancouver, Canada and land in Seattle for what promises to be one of the best rock shows at the Moore Theater in the first few months of the year. The band is on the second leg of their "Unplugged Tour" which features a little less company than the first part.
For this show on Sunday, February 23rd they're tagging along with local Seattle rock musician Ayron Jones. He's got a new album out called Chronicles Of The Kid. Expect this man to get a ton of local support, particularly from folks that saw him come through the local rock scene. This certainly an interesting element to the night.
Ohio native Mick Blankenship is the other act taking the stage at The Moore Theater on this night. He brings a much heavier brand of rock than the main event and the hometown hero. It could be a great way though to shake off the cold as you shuffle into the Moore Theater for this event.
Each of the performers who'll be showcasing their talents on Sunday, February 23rd have a unique take on music. That could help create one of the best rock nights in the Pacific Northwest this year. Hit that get tickets link to be a part of this event.
Theory of A Deadman have been one of the most popular and consistent rock bands to come out of Canada in the last few decades. Obviously, they hit up Seattle on most of the tours because of not only the geographical closeness with the BC rock scene but also the intellectual one. A lot of these performers, like Ayron Jones, grew up in this music scene. The versatility that he brings to the stage is one that's perhaps only matched by the Theory of a Deadman themselves. Speaking of that versatility, the newest single by Theory of a Deadman is a perfect example of this. Livin' My Life Like a Country Song marks yet another attempt by these guys to delve into softer rock with a little bit of country music. In spite of them crossing over to other genres, they never abandon their trademark guitar lines.
Yes, this is a rock show, and you're welcome to wear your typical outfit for a night like this that will likely feature plenty of black accessories. However, you may not need to go hard all night with the head movements! That's especially true now that Elvis-looking Tyler Connolly has started playing the piano in some tracks for Theory Of A Deadman. This modern version of the band is certainly capable of pulling a lot of different elements from their bad tricks. The event itself is unique, with a heavy rock performer like Mick Blankenship getting things started and then moving on to someone like Ayron Jones, who may even hit the crowd with some soul! This is a concert that you have to see to believe, because describing this mashup is one tall task.
Interestingly enough, the seating setup for this event won't be altered. That means that you're going to have a chance to witness a rock show from the comfort of your seat inside the Moore Theater, as you would if you came out to a play. You may want to look into spots that are a bit further away from the stage if you want to take in all of the visual elements that will be a part of the event from a better angle. Just a thought!
