Stomp

What happens when radiator hoses, brooms, matchboxes, and shopping carts meet energizing beats, electrifying choreography, and a theatrical stage?

The world’s greatest high-energy percussive theatrical performance happens, and they are back on the road, bringing their all-new beats to you! That’s right, Seattle, Stomp is coming to the Moore Theatre on 26 January 2025, and you simply have to be there!

The explosive, inventive, provocative, witty, and utterly unique percussive sensation that has been filling stages around the globe with magnificent rhythms, proving that anything and everything can turn into music, is set to wow and stun audiences across the United States in a massive eight-month trek, hitting all the major venues before wrapping up in Orlando in June.

Tickets are priced to go from only $80, so be sure to hit that ‘get tickets’ button right now to get your hands on the premier seats before they’re all gone!

They are everything but conventional. They are part drum line, part step team, and part ensemble of city buskers.

Matchboxes, wooden poles, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters, hubcaps, hammer handles, inner tubes, radiator hoses, plastic bags, suitcases, shopping carts, and even kitchen sinks – the whole lot and everything else you never thought could have new life blown into it by becoming the most amazing musical instruments, become exactly that – percussive musical instruments. And oh man, they produce the most beautiful, inventive, unbelievable, and mind-blowing music! Add in superb high-energy choreography, visual comedy, a comic interplay of characters communicating only through rhythm and movement, and the beating heart of theatre, and you have something unparalleled, phenomenal, utterly creative, and incredible to experience: one man’s trash literally becomes another man’s joy.

When Stomp was conceived by street performers Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas, no one would have thought that fingernails scratching against matchboxes and basketballs being passed back and forth with a ‘thud’ could garner such an unusually large global following as it did. It was an overnight success after its premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 1991, becoming The Guardian’s ‘Critic’s Choice’ and winning The Daily Express’ “Best Of The Fringe” award. Stomp then embarked on multiple tours across the globe, racking up armfuls of awards, including an Olivier nomination for Best Entertainment Award and winning Best Choreography Award in a West End Show, an Obie Award and Drama Desk Award for Most Unique Theatre Experience, as well as an Ultimate IMAX Award for Best Film following the release of their IMAX film, “Pulse: A Stomp Odyssey”. After running Stomp for 29 years on Broadway, the group of eight performers now only tours, bringing the right to your doorstep, and you simply cannot afford to miss it!

Stomp and the amazing 1,800-seat Moore Theatre have a lot in common: the venue is as much part of Seattle’s rich history as beats are part of Stomp’s performance, and with its plain exterior and dazzling interior, the Moore Theatre is set to stun – just like Stomp! The luxurious seats are spread across the main floor and balcony, ensuring the maximum viewing pleasure.

So, what are you waiting for? Get your hands on those tickets now and bring the whole family for an evening of breath-taking theatrical greatness!
