Leonid & Friends are simply second to none. They’ve blown the minds of Chicago fans everywhere with their uncanny ability to capture the spirit, musicality, and fire in the music, recreating bangers such as “You’re the Inspiration” and “If You Leave Me Now” to “25 or 6 to 4” and “Saturday in the Park” note for note.
With Leonid & Friends’ track record of sold-out shows, you better get your tickets quickly; they’re selling from only $49 and are worth every cent. This is the one tribute band you don’t want to miss, so go ahead and hit that button!
When Leonid Vorobyev got together with a group of friends to do a casual jam session of the Chicago banger “Make Me Smile”, and published it on YouTube in 2014, they became an international sensation overnight. In just three short years, they gained over 600,000 followers, over 120 million views, and played to over 200 sold-out crowds.
With multi-instrumentalist, sound engineer, and choral conductor Leonid Vorobyev at the helm, the group of 11 of Russia’s finest musicians got something right that many musicians battle with: playing in a large ensemble with perfect synergy and mastering material that is rhythmically, melodically, and harmonically complex. Every single musician in this fantastic group plays with incredible technical skill, capturing the energy, spirit, and joy of the music they are celebrating.
Regardless of the high expectations audiences have of a tribute band, Leonid & Friends’ track record of sold-out shows serves as proof that they deliver every single time. Their powerhouse live shows, not just celebrating an age of soulful classics but showcasing stunning precision, technical prowess, positivity, musical genius, an incredible wall of sound, and musicianship second to none, are absolutely top-notch.
When American supergroup Chicago came into existence in the late 1960s, comprising members of several established bands, they described themselves as a “rock and roll band with horns”, dabbling in the combination of classical music, jazz, R&B, and pop music. Leonid & Friends capture the essence of Chicago with perfection and might fool audiences into thinking they’re watching the real deal. Leonid & Friends have released three tribute albums, “Chicagovich”, celebrating Chicago’s 50th anniversary, among others, and have recently also taken on the music of Earth Wind & Fire, Blood Sweat & Tears, Ides of March, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, and Deep Purple.
Leonid & Friends’ infectious energy is bound to fill the whole 1,800-seat Moore Theatre. The fantastic venue, based in Seattle, has been the host for countless of the finest acts globally. Even though plain from the outside, the inside will blow audiences away with its spectacular design, flawless sightlines, and comfort - a perfect match for a concert like no other!
