Ilana Glazer is stopping by the Moore Theatre on Thursday, February 8th! Covering twenty dates, her latest tour kicks off in New York in January and includes three Canadian stops. After reaching Vancouver's Vogue Theatre in February, the comedian will tour the U.S. before returning to Canada for performances in Montreal and Toronto in May.
Loaded with stories, this tour pulls from the well of everyday life and experiences on the road! “I’m touring all summer and will be releasing fall dates soon. And I’m thrilled about a movie I just wrapped, which will come out some time next year,” she shared with Hamptons magazine on the discussion of future projects.
Curious about what she's been up to since her Comedy Central days? After co-starring in Broad City, Glazer released her first stand-up comedy special on Amazon, "The Planet is Burning." Additionally, she also co-wrote and starred in the A24 film "False Positive" and appeared in the Hulu series “The Afterparty.”
Find inspiration in comedy that goes beyond mere laughter, touching on the topic of social change. Beyond entertainment, Glazer is deeply committed to several advocacies. In 2016, she co-founded Generator Collective, an advocacy platform aimed at empowering Gen Z and millennials, simplifying the understanding of their influence within the system.
Here's something exciting and revolutionary - both art and activism are at the forefront of this live standup gig that allows listeners to connect, share ideas, and maybe even spark a little change! In her latest material, Glazer makes another attempt to use humor to address the current political moment. Between twerking and stage-strutting, the comedian explores topics such as the rise of white nationalism through a stolen haircut joke and offers insights into the lack of action on climate change, as shared in an NPR review.
Vintage and versatile, the Seattle venue is nothing short of outstanding when it comes to delivering awesome entertainment experiences. With a black box-style performance space, this intimate setting will allow the award-winning comedian to connect with everyone no matter where they’re seated! Watch Ilana Glazer’s LIVE stand-up as she visits the Moore Theatre on Thursday, February 8th!
