Globally recognized singer-songwriter HWASA just announced her first-ever solo tour across North America. The HWASA LIVE TOUR [Twits] will take the MAMAMOO member's solo hits and energetic beats to the big stage. Recently unveiling her official fandom name, TWITs - it's a nod back to her debut single of the same name. Her first mini album "Maria" was released back in 2020, serving up her massive hit single of the same name. Announcing her 2025 "TWITS" trek, her huge touring comeback comes after the release of her newest mini album "O" and unveiling her official fandom name "TWITs". Looking back at her special debut track of the same name, it's a name that stuck around. Singin' about someone that loved her dearly, it definitely fits all of her fans!
Rising to fame as a member of the iconic K-Pop group MAMAMOO, Hwasa subsequently kicked of a solo career back in 2019, dropping her timeless banger "TWIT". Returning with a new mini album "O", this era is set to welcome her most confident self yet, while serving up precious stories across her career. Wrapping up shows throughout Seoul, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore, she's jet-set to hop across the US and Canada.
Joining P NATION, an agency recently launched by PSY, Hwasa is celebrating creative and artistic freedom for her music. The brave move allows her to deeper explore new sides to herself and her artistry, as "O" highlights themes of self-love and personality.
Recently releasing a video for her lead single "NA", Hwasa is seen dancing through Paris' streets, shrugging off onlookers and side-eyes from people around her. Taking a bit into a burger and smoking cigarettes, she's the queen of living life in her own terms.
Asked by press about what she embraces as an artist, "Freedom," she said. "I’ve been like this ever since I was young, and I’m grateful for it... I think it’s every thought and action that I’ve had until now that’s led up to me being right here, right now — saying yes when everyone else says no," she," Hwasa explained, as cited from Korea JoongAng Daily.
An album that depicts her most fluid, flexible, and REALest self yet, she's out here proving her haters wrong. "I felt sad about trying to please everyone. So, I’ve accepted who I am and just found my own path to happiness. I think I’ve got the balance of things now," she said.
