Cameron Lew, otherwise known as Ginger Root, is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter who has carved up their own unique sound which is described as “aggressive elevator soul”. Over the past seven years, Ginger Root has honed a niche that rises from epic groups like Vulfpeck, Toro y Moi, White Denim, Yellow Magic Orchestra, and Feist. Hailing from Huntington Beach, California, the American indie soul music project burst onto the scene in 2017 with the self-released record Spotlight People. Making the move to Acrophase Records in 2018, they dropped a couple more full length albums which were a huge hit with fans and critics alike, including 2018’s Mahjong Room and 2020’s Rikki. And this super exciting tour comes in celebration of their forthcoming release, SHINBANGUMI.
