Belle & Sebastian formed in Glasglow in 1996. The band's frontman Stuart Murdoch has been an awesome leader. And if you don't know yet, he's releasing his debut novel too!
Rewinding a bit to mid-2017, they hit fans with the single "We Were Beautiful." This was the same year that the band took a hilarious turn during their US tour... It made headlines when they accidentally left their member - Colburn - behind at a North Dakota Walmart. Who forgets a whole as* human being, right?
Fast forward to December 2017 and the following months, they gifted everyone a trio of EPs, "How to Solve Our Human Problems." And in November 2018, Dave McGowan officially joined the Belle & Sebastian family. Jumping to August 2019, they celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Bowlie Weekender with a twist – the Boaty Weekender on a cruise ship in the Mediterranean Sea. Talk about a party on the high seas!
Their eleventh studio album, "A Bit of Previous," dropped in May 2022, followed by a surprise in January 2023 – the release of their twelfth studio album, "Late Developers." The first single from the album was "I Don't Know What You See in Me." Belle and Sebastian are hitting the road again for a spring 2024 North American tour, supported by the fantastic Haley Heynderickx and The Weather Station. It's a celebration of their recent back-to-back albums, 'A Bit Of Previous' and 'Late Developers.' For the show in Seattle, Canadian folk band The Weather Station will be their opening act.
