One of the most esteemed and beloved singer-songwriters of our time was Jim Croce. He tugged our hearts strings with his songs and left his fans heartbroken due to his untimely demise at the peak of his career. And this happened 8 days before his only son, A.J. Croce's 8th birthday, in 1973. For A.J., music became his solace and a source of healing, as he himself suffered from blindness in both eyes for six years. As he slowly regained his eyesight in one eye, he learned to play the piano and was inspired by his music heroes Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder; and got himself his first paying gig at the age of 12. At 19, he got a major label contract and released a number of albums to his name which included his self-produced and self-title album bagging the Best Pop album award at the 2004 San Diego Music Awards, and subsequent releases earning a 4-star review from Rolling Stone. 2012 was the first time A.J. ever publicly performed a set from his father's catalogue; and he has brought that show on the road ever since.

A.J. Croce has not only breathed new life into his father's music, but has sparked a renewed interest from various generations of music audiences who can candidly sing in unison with Jim Croce's timeless like "Photographs and Memories", "Time In a Bottle", "Operator (That's Not The Way It Feels)", "I'll Have To Say I Love You In A Song", "Bad Bad Leroy Brown", and many more. A.J. is aware that he's got big shoes to fill, but through these shows, A.J. established his own identity, credibility, and showmanship. He delivers not just 'covers' but he infuses a fresh and spontaneous energy into them. “People often come in thinking the show will be a quiet, nostalgic, precious display of my father’s songs – but it’s not precious at all, says A.J. "We give them a really energetic, live show. The audience expects one thing, but by the time they leave, they realize they got something completely different -- and they leave not only with a new perspective on Jim, but as fans of mine as well.”

Recognized as two of the finest albums in Jim Croce's career are "Life and Times" and "I Got A Name", his final studio album, have both turned 50 years old in 2023. But the clamor for the "Croce Plays Croce" tour has yet to simmer down. So A.J. Croce is back on the road, bringing 'Croce Plays Croce' to the Moore Theatre on Sunday 20th October 2024. As the great Willie Nelson has said, "A.J. Croce has wisdom beyond his years. With his music, he represents his generation with a profound sense of honesty in his lyrics and quality in his delivery. The future of entertainment is safe in his hands.” Now lend an ear and let your soul experience this wonder. Save the date and book your tickets now!
