Born and raised in Bombay by legendary tabla player Ustad Allah Rakha Khan, Zakir Hussain started playing the tabla as soon as he could reach across the drums. This Indian prodigy is no stranger to quality events - he began playing concerts by age seven and started touring at 12!! Now, he’s ready to take you on a night filled with resonant tones and timbres.

He was even invited by President Obama to the International Jazz Day 2016 All-Star Global Concert at the White House, and contributed his amazing tabla skills to iconic albums by George Harrison, Van Morrison, and Earth, Wind & Fire.
