Alaya High, the iconic young lady behind the "That Girl Lay Lay" moniker, is bringing her "THE GROWING PAINS TOUR" to Seattle, live on stage at the Moore Theatre this August 1st. Conquering the stage, she's one of the country's hottest rising stars, and beloved as the youngest female African American rapper to score a record deal with Empire Distribution.
"Lay Lay will bring her unique blend of catchy hooks, empowering lyrics and high-energy performance to Dominion Energy Center, creating an unforgettable night for fans," an official release shares.
She sure is know for her catchy bops and empowering tracks that shake up the scene. That Girl Lay Lay has even caught the attention of the likes of Cardi B, North West, Le'Veon Bell for her astounding talent. Moreover, she serves as an inspiration for young girls to live their dreams.
Alaya High caught the world's attention when her parents started posting videos of her rap covers on YouTube. She then began writing her own tracks and dropping videos on the platform, growing her fanbase of young stars. Signing a record deal in 2018, she released her debut LP "The Cheat Code" with her hit single "Go, Lay Lay, Go". Since then, she's alway took her music to the next level.
In 2019, she signed a deal with Nickelodeon to "develop original multi-platform programming, music initiatives, and build a consumer product business catering to children and teens, and highlighting young actors and creative artists," as shared by the press release. This marked the start of her own TV program "That Girl Lay Lay", where she comes off of a phone app as a human teen girl chasing life.
