About Heather McMahan

McMahan is an American actress, comedian, and writer known for her roles on "Love Hard" and "If Loving You Is Wrong." She also made waves across the interwebs for her viral clips on Instagram, and we're pretty sure all of you have sent or received reels while telling your friend "omg this is us." Her relatable tales and hilarious antics as a millennial woman navigating life has spoke closely to everyone's heart.

Her first special "Son I Never Had" was released via Netflix in October 2023, with Rolling Stone describing her show as turning "Death and IVF Into Beautiful Comedy," as she finds humor and positivity amidst loss. According to McMahan, all of this started with an edible and a vision board. New Year's Day antics and being hungover, she's shared about manifesting performing jokes to a huge audience... beyond Instagram. Now, McMahan has two specials and a second national tour coming right up. It sure is a dream come true for the rising comic.

"Even though my stand-up talks about kind of heavier, more serious subjects, I’m the goofiest person on the planet," McMahan told Rolling Stone. "I think everything’s super funny because life is short and you have to laugh."

Her first special "Son I Never Had" serves clever and witty tales while also showing her vulnerable side - tackling her journey surrounding IVF and losing her father to cancer. Navigating her feelings about womanhood while dealing with body image and fertility, it's chaotic and challenging, but she still found humor and positivity through it all.

From doing things her own way to scoring streaming deals with Netflix & Hulu and embarking on national tours, she's truly grown a lot as a rising name in the comedy scene. "What started off as kind of a stoner project turned into making my dreams come true," she told Rolling Stone, sharing how her hungover-made vision boards during New Year's came to fruition.

On Breadwinner, she turns the table and talks about the intense pressures of being your family's support, a golf widow, planning weddings, relations with in-laws, and everything in between these life perils.

"Please watch this special so I can continue to financially dominate my husband and sleep like a boss bitch at night," McMahan told her fans.

Well of course, we're all streaming! As she heads back on the road, all of us are ready to laugh, gasp, and maybe even shed a tear to her relatable & hilarious tales. You're gonna get BAMBOOZLED!
