Caleb Hearon brands himself as the only gay comedian, which seems to be quite a stretch, but in any case, he's bringing his So True show to the Pacific Northwest. He'll be hitting up the Moore Theater in Seattle on Saturday, March 22nd, after another stop in the area.
One of the ways that you could make his "only gay comedian" claim true is to say that he's the only one who actually came up through the comedy scene. Most of the other ones made it to stand up through social media. This fact about Caleb actually means you're in for a much deeper show. That can be a scary thought for some, but he's the real deal. It's not just a guy up there playing with the stereotypes of sexual preferences, which a lot of similar acts tend to do. It's hard to think about a comedian and actor who's been a part of massive productions and remains somewhat of an unknown. In fact, it is quite a stretch to say that Caleb Hearon is an unknown. He's someone that Drew Barrymore introduced as "(someone who) has been dubbed one of the funniest by the toughest comedy crowd of them all: the internet." In doing so, she provided a platform for him. When you've been on with Drew Barrymore and you were even chased by dinosaurs in the Jurassic World movie, you're not an enigma at all! As mentioned, Caleb Hearon cut his teeth doing comedy in clubs in Chicago. There must have been some tough nights there, no offense, but Chicago is not San Francisco.
